After-School Programs Get a Huge Boost for Coachella Valley Unified School District Who Received Two US Department of Education Awards Totaling Over $2.5 Million

California Consulting congratulates Coachella Valley Unified School District for receiving the US Department ofEducation 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant and the UDOE 21st Century ASSETS Program Grant inthe amount of $2,525,658.Dr. Julie High and CVUSD administration teamed up to write the awarded applications. The US Department ofEducation awarded CVUSD the 21st CENTURY Community Learning Center grant for $1,914,858 which will fundafter-school programs for elementary and middle schoolers. The purpose of the 21st Century Community LearningCenters (CCLC) is to support community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities forstudents who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools.CVUSD high schools will get a big boost from the USDOE 21st Century ASSESTS Program which was awarded for$610,800. CalRecycle: Rubberized Pavement Grant Program Deadline: September 29, 2021 Amount: $250,000 maximum for Individual Application. If applying for a joint application, the maximum grant award shall not be greater than $350,000. The Lead or a participating jurisdiction is limited to no more than $250,000 of the grant award. Match: No Eligibility: Cities, counties, regional park districts, special districts, Joint Powers Authorities, state agencies and Qualifying Indian Tribes https://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/tires/grants/pavement/fy2021-22 An application may include rubberized pavement (hot-mix and chip seal) projects for roadways, Class 1 bikeways, greenways, and disability access at parks. A greenway is a travel corridor for pedestrians, bicycles, non-motorized vehicle transportation, recreation, or a combination thereof, located along natural landscape features, such as an urban watercourse. Recycle has issued the Notice of Funding Availability for Fiscal Year 2021-22 and released the online application for the Rubberized Pavement Grant Program.
