Match: Amount varies and should include all non-construction costs for the project

The intent of the California Youth Soccer Recreation and Development Program is to award grants on a competitive basis for fostering the development of new youth soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball recreation opportunities in heavily populated, low-income urban areas with a high youth crime and unemployment rate to Local Agencies and Community-Based Organizations. Eligible projects include development projects that create new opportunities for youth soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball as well as include water conservation measures as a part of the project. Applicants that cover all non-construction costs with their own funding will received higher priority than those who request grant funding for both construction and non-construction activities.
