Hector Velasquez, Project Manager

Hector Velazquez is a Project Manger at California Consulting and brings a strong background in data analysis and research, developed during his time at the prestigious USC Rossier School of Education.

While at USC, Hector contributed to numerous mixed-methods evaluations focused on advancing educational equity. He was initially hired as a graduate research assistant and later transitioned into a staff role, where he continued to deepen his expertise. His work supported the evaluation of Black College Success Programs, college preparatory initiatives, and efforts to measure the impact of mentorship and online science curricula on low-income and underrepresented students—particularly in the fields of Physics and Astronomy.

Hector played a lead role in data collection and analysis, including survey administration, qualitative interviews, and data visualization using Tableau. These experiences equipped him with a robust skill set that he now brings to the grant writing process.

Hector holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. He is passionate about using data-driven strategies to help local governments, school districts, and organizations secure funding and achieve meaningful outcomes.
