The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) Program was established by Congress in 2014 and is administered by the National Park Service (NPS) under the authority of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Act. The nationwide ORLP program funding is for urban areas (jurisdictions of at least 50,000 people). Priority is given to projects located in economically disadvantaged areas that lack outdoor recreation opportunities.
