Dale Sumersille has over 50 years of experience in the Recreation and non-profit sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration and is a certified Non-Profit Professional (CNP) in American Humanics from the University of the Pacific, Stockton. Additionally, she earned an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Management from CSU Stanislaus.
Throughout her career, Dale has served as a Director and Manager for numerous municipalities and as the General Manager for the Isla Vista Recreation & Park Special District. Her non-profit experience includes roles with Junior Achievement, Inc., Girl Scouts of the USA, and the YMCA. Most recently, she served as the Parks & Community Services Director and Grants Administrator for the City of Davis. Following her retirement from the city, Dale joined California Consulting as a Senior Associate serving Northern California.
Dale is a Past President of the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF) and an active member of the California Parks & Recreation Society (CPRS). Outside of her professional life, she enjoys camping, fishing, and gardening with her family. She is also a pilot and volunteers with Pilots N Paws, transporting rescued animals to shelters and foster homes, she also assists with the Yolo County Sheriff’s Aero squadron.
