The City of Sausalito receives the COPS Hiring Grant Program in the amount of $497,561. This
wonderful accomplishment is another example of the foresight and vision of the City’s ongoing effort
to provide a better quality of life for its residents.
It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work of CC Project Manager Michelle Ferguson who
wrote the winning application with the assistance of the district’s administration.
Chris Zapata, City of Sausalito City Manager, stated: “Sausalito’s unique setting at the foot of the
Golden Gate Bridge attracts many thousands of tourists by boat, bus, car, and bike. This grant will
certainly help our police department serve residents, local businesses, and visitors “
