Brook Leighton grew up in Queens, New York, and has been grant writing since 2005. Brook holds a Bachelor in English from Princeton University, where she won the Samuel Shellabarger Memorial Prize in Creative Writing. She also holds a juris doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Brook has written and won a variety of grants from city, state, federal, and private sources, especially for education and youth programs in areas of high need.
Brook has extensive experience leading development teams of nonprofits. She greatly enjoys teaching others to write grant proposals. When not working, Brook keeps busy with her three sons and husband on Long Island, NY.
