Sarah Elghaban is a Project Manager with California Consulting. Sarah is a native of Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Psychology. She has 10 years of experience managing programs for underserved and vulnerable populations. Prior to beginning her journey in the nonprofit field, she worked in Kuwait for 4 years where she developed and launched the first program offering integrative and inclusionary therapy for children with Autism in a mainstream, early education school.
In her most recent, executive leadership position, Sarah was responsible for grant acquisition, monitoring grant compliance, program outcomes, reporting, grant budgets, and performance of federal and state grants as well as organizing and leading all strategic planning efforts.
Sarah has secured over $10 million in diversified funding. She has extensive grant writing, post-award program compliance, and grant management experience with the following funders: Office on Violence Against Women, Department of Justice, Office of Victims of Crime, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, TN Office of Criminal Justice Programs, and Tennessee Housing Development Agency.
Sarah is a graduate of the Young Professionals of Chattanooga’s Protégé program and currently serves as Chair for the Hamilton County Citizens Review Panel; a federally mandated panel established to examine the effectiveness of the child protective services system and make recommendations to the TN Department of Children’s Services for improvements. She has a passion for leading, multidisciplinary systems improvement, and collaborative efforts to transform the local community.
