The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administers a program to provide opportunities for the diversion of tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content products. The Tire-Derived Product Grant (TDP) Program is a reimbursement grant designed to use TDPs for repurposing projects such as pathways, landscaping, mats, playground surfacing, curb stops, and ramps. Grant awards in August 2021.
