CC congratulates the City of Baldwin Park (a CC client) for receiving the Home for Good 2017-2018 City Implementation Grant Phase II in the amount of $170,000. This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City’s leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for its residents. Eligibility: LEAs providing subsidized ELC programs under contract with the CDE

The goal of this grant is to increase access for young children birth to five years old to inclusive early learning and care programs. It supports the inclusion of children with disabilities and exceptional needs, including children with severe disabilities, in early learning and care settings pursuant to Parts B and C of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

This program focuses on high crime communities with concentrated distress and hot spots of crime and directly supports the Department’s priorities to reduce violent crime (sometimes associated with gang activity), assist communities struggling with drug abuse, and support law enforcement officers by integrating officers and enforcement strategies into community-based crime reduction efforts.

California Consulting CEO, Steve Samuelian, to play a leadership role in the Price Team 90th Anniversary Celebration in 2019.

Recently, California Consulting CEO, Steve Samuelian, met with the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy team. We are honored that he was asked to play a leadership role with the Price Team on the 90th anniversary (2019) celebration. The Price School is now the #2 ranked public policy school in the U.S. and on its way to #1. Stay tuned for the events we have planned to celebrate the 90th anniversary.

Robin Bacon, Project Manager

Robin Bacon, Project Manager

Robin Bacon joined California Consulting in March of 2018.  A business architect, grant writer, and lecturer. Ms. Bacon is focused on agro-environmental policy, organic waste, resource management, and educational technologies. Throughout the span of her career, she has developed projects, ranging from $1M – $20M for technology, food & agriculture, renewable energy solutions, and educational technology. Ms. Bacon published “Farming in the Cloud” and “Biomass Composting Solutions”- highlighting community infrastructure issues and the potential solutions.

Robin is a reliable resource in program & fund development.  She has extensive grant writing and budgetary experience. Ms. Bacon evaluates overall project vision, development & coordination when writing proposals and managing high profile projects. She has served on advisory committees and boards of directors, examples include California Institute of Food & Agricultural Research (CIFAR) at UC Davis and Petaluma Bounty – where the common goals are to provide healthy food products for everyone through collaboration and education.

Robin holds a B.S. in Business Administration; a Masters of Agriculture (M.Agr.) from Colorado State University; a Masters of Education (M.Ed.) from the Sanford College of Education at National University; and is a member of The California Teacher’s Association.
