California Consulting Clients Receive HSIP Awards Totaling Over $1.3 Million Dollars

California Consulting is pleased  to announce our clients have received multiple awards for the Highway Safety Improvement Program totaling over $1.3 million dollars. We are especially proud to say that the City of Montebello received 3 of these awards to fund a variety of projects.

California Consulting Presents at State Water Resource Control Board-Prop 1 Groundwater Sustainability on behalf of our clients

112015 Haig PresCalifornia Consulting LLC is very pleased to have our Southern California Director, Haig Kartounian, present, on behalf of our clients, at the State Water Resource Control Board- Prop. 1 Groundwater Sustainability meeting in Los Angeles on Friday, November 20, 2015.

Proposition 1 was passed by voters in November 2014 and provided $900 million for a Groundwater Sustainability Program (Assembly Bill 1471, Chapter 10). The State Water Board will administer $800 million to prevent and cleanup contamination of groundwater that serves (or has served) as a source of drinking water. The funds can be provided as grants or loans. A summary of the program is provided in aProposition 1 Groundwater Sustainability Fact Sheet.

State Water Board Staff performed four scoping meetings and developed Prop 1 Scoping Questions to solicit comments on the development of the Draft Proposition 1 Groundwater Sustainability Program guidelines. Comments submitted by the June 30, 2015 deadline will soon be up on the Groundwater Quality Funding Website. The City of Monterey Park receives HSIP Award for $312,160

California Consulting LLC’s, Statewide Grants Manager, Tristan Shamp, and Senior Project Manager, Ann Vermal attended the California League of High School (CLHS) Region VII “Educator of the Year” Awards dinner on November 18, 2015. The awards ceremony was held at the University Square Hotel in Fresno. The event nominated and honored the high school teacher of the year.

Tristan and Ann were part of a prestigious panel of judges who rated speeches given by each candidate. At the end of the ceremony, Tristan and Ann accepted an award on behalf of Steve Samuelian and California Consulting honoring our company’s support for the CLHS Region VII.

The event was attended by approximately 200+ educators and school administrators from all over central California.

California Consulting received the CLHS Region 7 “Friend of CLHS” recognition.  This recognition is reserved for individuals or entities who have provided ongoing support for the CLHS Region 7 efforts focused on recognizing outstanding educators in California’s Region 7.

 

CLHS Region 7 extends from Bakersfield in the South to Merced in the North.  Past recipients include Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Larry Powell and Jim Yovino, Educational Employees Credit Union, Tim Schneider of TGS Transportation, and Chris Hubbard of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing.

California Consulting’s Statewide Grant Manager, Tristan Shamp, stated: “As State Grants Manager, I was honored to accept this award on behalf of California Consulting. Ann and I enjoyed the banquet and seeing so many individuals dedicated to our students and schools in the Central Valley.”

Waterford, California, in Stanislaus county, is 11 miles NE of Turlock, California and 65 miles E of San Jose, California. The city is included in the Modesto metropolitan area.Waterford City began to take shape in the second half of the nineteenth century. During that time, there was no bridge across the Tuolumne River and it could only be crossed by means of a ford on the waterfront. The community thusly came to be known as Waterford.
